The Titan Middle School Grapplers had another great day after winning gold in 10 of 13 weight classes the week before. “We were missing a few wrestlers due to cold or other functions, but we made the most of our opportunities,” commented Coach Harlow. 8 Titan wrestlers took gold this week as the entire team continues building the skills that will reload the high school program in the coming years. Coach Harlow added, “As any coach likes to see, we made some improvements. Controlling the match and understanding the score and how to finish with a win.”
With the middle school boys having this past week of practiced broken up with the 7th graders being gone on a 3 day Ski trip, there was a little rust to shake off so we expect to see the 6 grapplers that took bronze moving into silver in the next matches.
Next week the mighty middle school Titans are back at Yokota and then wrap the season up the following week at home. Parents and students are encouraged to come out and support the MS team at the last home match where we hope to see a “Blue Out” with everyone sporting the new hoodies!
